The incidence of lung cancer is on the rise in Europe.

It is therefore crucial to make lung cancer a public health priority and Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE) is committed to urgently advance lung cancer on the agenda of policy makers and to address the still existing inequalities in the different Member States in terms of access to innovative treatments and care.

Lung Cancer Europe (LuCE)  organised a MAC event, hosted by Alojz Peterle MEP and supported by ECL as MAC Secretariat, on “How to face the lung cancer disparities in Europe” , room JAN 6Q1 the European Parliament on the 16 of November, from 16.00 to 18.00. 

Patients, politicians, physicians, patient advocates, journalists, pharmaceutical companies and other stakeholders participated in this event, in which was showed the current situation of lung cancer in Europe from different perspectives. This was be an excellent opportunity to propose a call for action, encouraging the attendees to give a step forward, and working together to get improvements in early detection, accurate diagnosis, more effective and safe treatments and faster access to innovative therapies, ensuring sustainability of health systems.
